The summer is over...us girls had a really great time on our roadtrip through the southwest. Erin is back home and everyone is in school. Check out the photos that we took... Grand Canyon... Carlsbad Caverns... Texas... Roswell, NM... Petrified Forest... and Las Vegas! We will be traveling back east to the Baltimore/Philadelphia area this summer for an 80th birthday party for my grandmother. I can't wait! I will get to see all my cousins, some of which I have not seen in 10 years...at my grandmother's 70th birthday party! Since moving to California 5 years ago, I have only been back east once for my father's funeral and I only got to visit with my brother and sister. Even so, my cousins are scattered all over the place, Turkey, Kentucky, South Dakota, Minnesota, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. We will be there for only a week, but plan to spend a few days at the beach in Wildwood, NJ with my cousins, that should be a really wild time in Wildwood! I just received a notice in the mail that I have been selected to receive the Mary Stuart Honors Scholarship. This scholarship is $3500...enough to pay for my tuition, fees, and books for the whole year! Yeah! I have just been notified that my research paper that I submitted for the CAAJE scholarship competition will be published in the American Criminal Justice Association Journal! As soon as I get all the details I will post them here. I have posted my paper for all to read...just click. Another scholarship notification! The president of CSUS nominated me for the CSU Board of Trustees Randolph Hearst Outstanding Academic Achievement Award and I was chosen! It is a $3000 award, plus a trip to Long Beach! |

Ok, school...well, I had to take a leave of absence because my doctor told me to rest. We are expecting a new addition in December! We have been trying for the last couple of years, however I have trouble carrying and we haven't been successful yet. Keep your fingers crossed... we really hope all goes well. |
